Course Summary
This course will provide participants with an understanding of capital markets. It will explore fundamental economic concepts including Game Theory and its applications. It will look into information economics, adverse selection, moral hazard and the principal agent problem and shall integrate researched and instructor provided case Information on market performance. The course shall also provide the participant a chance to integrate knowledge with application in the areas of; private and public real estate equity, REITS: pricing, functions, return evolution, private investments in real estate, private and public real estate debt, the basics of mortgage-based securities and finally advanced pricing models, incorporating prepayment, option-adjusted spreads, and securitization.
