RE6036 Sustainable Land Use

This course leads students to an understanding of the issues in Sustainable Land Use, including: trends of land development; zoning and regulation; land use planning issues and challenges/permitting process; urban redevelopment and revitalization; concepts of sustainable development; sustainable development and the role of land use planning; planning for sustainable development; the role of governance, law and institutions; and tools and strategies of sustainable development. The course also examines cases of green cities, environmental justice, and social equity.
